Scope and content
The collection consists of two copies of invitations to a New Year’s party at the Idlewild in Flint. Room managers were identified as George Stevens, William Lewis, and Vene Cole. Music was to be provided by Kinman’s Band. D.W. Denio was identified as the proprietor of the Idlewild. Entry cost $2.
System of arrangement
Past practices described the contents of this collection individually. Each item received an object ID number and was treated as a distinct artifact. Records have been reunited, but their original order may have been lost.

No restrictions. Contact the Collections Department to arrange use for research.
Physical access
The invitations are made of paper. Information on the event is printed in black ink across one side of each. Both copies are housed inside a single acid-free folder.
The condition of both invitations is good. Each has a pair of crease marks from being folded over twice. The paper retains much flexibility. There are no signs of fraying along edges or tears anywhere across them. No fading of ink has occurred.
